- Soak your Cedar Wood Planks in water for up to 1 hour (3-4 hours is preferable).
- Heat your wood fired oven to 200C or higher.
- Prepare your Salmon by seasoning with salt and pepper and layering with slices of lemon.
- Place your pre-soaked planks into your wood fired oven and let them heat up for approximately 3 minutes until you see a light smoke.
- Using tongs, flip the planks and set them away from your fire before adding your Salmon.
- Roast for approximately 20 – 30 minutes ensuring you rotate the planks to cook all sides.
- Ensure the Salmon is cooked using our Digital Meat Thermometer, 45-50C is perfect.
TIP: Try adding wine or apple juice to the Cedar Wood Plank water for more flavour.
