This spooky treat will help keep the kids away from the sweets this Halloween. A perfect dish for getting the little ones involved and learning how to cook!
- Slice off the top of the peppers, be sure to keep the tops. Remove the seeds and any white flesh from inside.
- Using a small knife, carve a spooky face into the peppers.
- Chop up a small onion and gently fry until soft then add 1 crushed garlic clove and gently fry for two minutes.
- Add your mince beef and cook until browned before adding your chosen fajita spice mix. Stir in and then set the pan aside.
- Fill each pepper with the fajita mix and top with cheese. Replace the pepper lids using skewers or cocktail sticks to help secure them in place.
- Add to a metal tray, cover with foil and place in your wood fired oven at 200 °C and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for a further 10 minutes before removing.
TIP: Use your leftovers to fill the peppers. Chilli works very well and helps add that extra kick.
